Blast, shots heard near Chinese consulate in Pakistan's Karachi

A blast and gunshots were heard near the Chinese consulate in Pakistan's southern city of Karachi on Friday, local media reported.
It was not immediately clear if the consulate was the target of an attack.
No group has claimed responsibility for the explosion or gunfire so far.
