President Xi meets with visiting German president

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday met with the visiting German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at the Great Hall of the People after a welcoming ceremony held in Beijing.
The two sides agreed to continue to deepen the all-round strategic partnership.  
Steinmeier is on a six-day state visit to China from December 5 to 10 at the invitation of President Xi, which marks the first of its kind since he became Germany's president in March 2017.
